esettan_luft_engAbout the requirements

As Lufthansa Systems subsidiary in Budapest, Lufthansa Systems Hungária LLC is a leading IT service provider which delivering stable and innovative IT solutions for air traffic. A significant part of the application development takes place in our country, and also provide a high level of software testing services for software development projects within the Group.

The world's busiest airports of several hundred thousand aircrafts take off every day. A single aircraft taking off requires a coordinated operation of several critical technical and logistical processes, which would be inconceivable without IT solutions is provided by Lufthansa Systems.

The H1 Systems solution

The LSHY rents approximately 4,700 m² office space for its nearly 300 employees at the Info Park, one of the most modern office building park. After its construction, the building rewarded LEED Silver category ranking and by now considered as a modern building on the local office market and also provides category 'A' service for the tenants. An important part of these, comfort has provided by precise control of the parameters, the exclusion of the joint operation of the cooling and heating, continuous operation and supervision services.

On client side, large-scale energy saving was not a major target, were primarily looking for answers for certain comfort issues. Many of these arose after subsequent transformation of the built interiors, because beyond of the flexibility of system operation engineering fresh air or cooling demands have occurred, for example in case of some meeting rooms, but we have met premises with considerable risks of overheating recognisable directly on the planning board.

During our audit, significant differences revealed between the current legal environment and technical content of the lease.

Project results

During the audit measurement/accounting anomalies were identified on the area of water usage, because the showers and a roof garden sprinkling water quantities can not be separated, and unreasonably high - sometimes 200 m³/month - monthly consumption growth generated in the summer months. We proposed physical design verification of the meter circles, as well the separation of the volume of the water spraying system.

We prepared proposals to modernise lighting in some areas like replacement of halogen spot lamps placed in meeting rooms, or CFLs placed in the corridors with LED, but its return on investment over takes about eight years respectively due the office relatively low operating time. The downstairs halogen floodlights exchange was also recommended, but here parallel with the design phase of the interior reconstruction LED light sources was required to take into account.

During the on-site visits, it is turned out that the operators have reduced the speed of the fans about 30% than the original conditions, because according to the existing provisions the resulting supply of fresh air was sufficient for this part of the building. However, such a change can not be performed on these unique air extractions, the building hydraulic equilibrium overturned which can be justified by experiencing draft at the reception and occasional major depression.

We proposed to replace motors operating in air-handling unit from electric to electronically commutated motors and recovering the original ventilation depending on the agreement.
