The custom-built data center is the conventional way of constructing a data center where modularity and flexibility are not among the expressed priority demands but a rather physical security and adaptation to build environment are much more emphasized.

The professional challenges in the construction of a built data center are in the specific features of design, implementation and operation. With the support of its experienced professionals  H1 Systems provides customized solution in each and every case.

The biggest difference compared to the conventional data center is in modularity. The pre-fabricated data center solutions provide our client the following option among other:

  • fast and sound quality implementation
  • optimal capacity and cost allocation
  • scalable expansion

Pre-fabrication can mean several solutions from masonry modules (modular) to turnkey containers.

Cooling

Cooling is the most dynamically developing field of data center infrastructures. Nowadays, beside the conventional direct expansion (DX) systems you can also find data centers with even indirect evaporation or adiabatic free cooling systems.

data-center-cooling

The chosen cooling solution significantly influence the operation costs of the data center, consequentially, development activities focus on improving energy efficiency and reducing operation costs. This way of thinking is reflected in our designing objectives, implementation commitment and operation precision. In Hungary you can meet the indoor thermal requirements by using free cooling in the 90-95% of uptime. By choosing a good cooling solution, 10-45% of cooling energy can be saved (compared to a conventional solution) in accordance with customer demand, local endowments and environmental conditions.

We offer a broad range of manufacturing solutions in cooling, as well:

Vertiv (previously Emerson Network Power) - EFC solution

Vertiv - AFC solution

Vertiv - Econophase

Rittal - liquid cooling solution

Huawei - Eco cooling

As an initial step of meeting energy efficiency and environmental or increased demand, the condition of existing technical devices and processes must be evaluated. H1 Systems offers professional support to realize these in a close cooperation with the professionals of the customer. In case of a modernization, identification of errors, energy optimization or efficiency improvement, it is a usual advantage if an engineer auditor or developer (external) colleague is also involved in the process.

Our highlighted products are the followings:

  • Econophase , namely free cooling with DX system
  • Adiabatic cooling (water pre-cooling)
  • Compact free cooling liquid cooling system

free-cooling-with-evaporation

According to the ASHRAE 2011 guidelines for data centers, the evaporation technology will be one of the most efficient ways of cooling in case of data centers. We are able to cool the air to 25-26oC for ICT devices with minimal evaporation (by using 2-4m3/h 1 MW cooling). For this there are two ways:

  • direct (Eco-cooling)
  • indirect free cooling (Vertiv EFC solution) where indoor and outdoor air are separated

Compressor cooling and free cooling

Compressor-based cooling is the simpliest way of data center cooling service. By using smart regulation, we improve energy efficience in the case of new or already existing systems.

Possible solutions:

  • automated set point manually fine-tuned liquid cooling’s set point
  • smart group regulation of the free cooling chiller
  • new compressor technologies

Rack layout and cooling

  • CRAC – Computer Room Air Conditioning
  • warm-cold aisle
  • inline cooling

Dynamic set point and super saver (smart temperature and humidity regulation)

Our exceptional technology solutions:

Absorption cooling

In case of the heta resource/waste heat is available, absorption cooling is an efficient way of supplying cooling water of the data center. The combination of gas engine (fuel cell) with absorption cooling can be a benefitial solution, as long as gas prices are low.

General engineering

At the construction of a data center, beside the specified architectural design you have to build up and syncronize several mechanical, low and high voltage power systems in an outstandingly reliable quality.

H1 Systems provides full building-up of systems, HVAC design and implementation. Air handling is the key of HVAC systems. Good ways for it are smart air ventilation or proper humidification.

EM and RF protection

For the protection of data centers and the information stored there, the followings has a highlighted importance: • protection against electromagnetic radiation (electrosmog) • protection against wire-tapping • protection against data robbery • identification of possible risks • creation of multi-level protection.

em_vedelem_1

At our EM and RF protection solutions we consider:

  • data center environment, local conditions
  • structure of supply systems, their environmental impact
  • quality level and classification of stored information

The creation of protection is always a multi-disciplinary complex task which can spread from the lower to higher level of shading of the rooms (EMC and EMP protection, even with a TEMPEST qualification.

Fire protection

In the server areas also exists the possibility of a fire hazard. H1 System protects the machines, the building and the environment. We perform several tasks in the fire protection market segment. Rely on our expertise.

Automatic fire extinguisher - and sprinkler systems

eletvedelem_kiskep

In order to provide high level availability for a facility, the fire protection has a highlighted importance. This are not exclusively requirements regarding life protection since most of the times devices got damaged not by fire but the combustion flue gases which go in the device’s parts and cause damages and can result in operation break.

  • Automated fire detection and extinguishing systems

By the implementation of fire detection and extinguishing systems, the following rules are applicable:

  • OTSZ rule according to law 2014/54 (XII.5.)
  • MSZ EN standards
  • Manufacturer’s specifications
  • Insurance requirements

Types of automated extinguishing systems:

  1. Water-based systems
    • wet sprinkler (only in heated rooms)
